  We have been a church plant following what he speaks of here even teaching and preaching often referring to the Acts 2 passages. Our group has stayed at 18-20 families of passionate people who really want to and are in many ways changing their lives and sacrrificing to follow Jesus. However, we cannot pay even enough bills to support our simple budget and are facing closure after almost 5 years together. He speaks well but I would like to hear or discuss the practical aspects of living out our theology. We have no financial base, book deals, wealthy followers, or owned property to support our shepherd and he has suffered immeasurably. In other words, living this out is quite different than speaking about it.

Response to “The Sojourn”…Sorry to hear about your struggle as a community. It sounds like there is a defect here. It sounds like you are saying you guys are doing your part but God is not doing His part (namely: enough finances to pay your bills). I would encourage you to question your outgoing bill-accumulators before questioning your incoming provider.
